March Update

Kindergarten
- We are working on writing and how to stretch our writing across the page
- We are sequencing stories and how the stories flows and makes sense
-We are also working on creating our own books
- In reading we are working on understanding the stories and what is being read

First Grade
- We have been working on writing and how we can elaborate and add details to our writing
- We have also been working on famous Americans in social studies

Second Grade
- We are focusing on maps- this includes directions, types of transportation, communication and how to read a map
-We are also working on how to create our own maps and making keys
- Another item we are working on is reading with detail and how to understand what we are reading
- We are learning to summarize what is being read

Third Grade
- We are wrapping up the environmental interactions
- We are working on sentence fluency and creating sentences with correct punctuation and capitalization. Also we are looking into turning a sequence of sentences into a complete paragraph with a topic sentence, supporting sentences and a conclusion sentence
- We will look at fractions and the vocabulary that relates to this topic

Fourth Grade
- We are learning the 6 biomes
- Fractions in math
- Lewis and Clark in social studies 
- Writing is literary essays
