March Monthly News

Here are some items that we are working on this month:

Kindergarten 

• Sink and float
• Introduction of animal classification 
• Saint Patrick's Day
• Spring
• Dentist 

First Grade

• Weather- air, wind, clouds, temperature, seasons
• Writing - friction books, comprehension, deeper meaning, retell, story elements, being about to answer questions. 

Second Grade 

• Math- place value to the hundreds, as well as adding and subtracting larger numbers
• Reading- working on adding “voice” to when we read
• Writing- opinion letters about our favorite books, characters, etc.

Third Grade 

• Plants
• Money
• Liquid measurement
• Time
• Addition/subtraction/multiplication facts

Fourth Grade 

• Biomes

• Westward expansion and Lewis and Clark

• Math- decimals 

• Informational writing - historical fiction 

• Complete sentences

• Spelling
